Best Isn’t Always Best: Why Your Disney Vacation Should Fit You

I was browsing a Disney Facebook group the other day, you know just casually scrolling, minding my business when I saw a post that had absolutely blown up. Someone had asked, “What’s the BEST Disney resort?”

And oh boy oh boy … the comments. There were over 200 of them, all passionately declaring completely different answers. It was like watching a live‑action version of “The seaweed is always greener in somebody else’s lake.”

One person swore Pop Century was the best because of the Skyliner. Another insisted the Grand Floridian was because it's "pure elegance." Someone else said Wilderness Lodge was unmatched. Then came the Animal Kingdom Lodge superfans. And the Polynesian loyalists. And the Art of Animation or bust crowd.

Every single person was convinced their favorite was the BEST, and honestly, they weren’t wrong. For them, it was.

And that’s exactly why these groups, while fun, aren’t always the best place to plan your trip. Disney isn’t one‑size‑fits‑all. It’s more like “You’ve got a friend in me… and also 47 different opinions in the comments.”

As I kept scrolling, I could practically see the different types of Disney vacationers chiming in.

There were the park hop till‑you‑drop people: the rope‑droppers, the power walkers, the “sleep is for after vacation” crew. They treat Disney like a full‑marathon, and for them, the resort doesn't matter as much as the game plan. Their whole vibe is “Adventure is out there!”

Then there were the resort‑chill folks, the ones who treat Disney like a spa retreat with a side of pixie dust. They’re here for the pools, the ambiance, the slow coffee sipping mornings, the lounges. They sprinkle in parks like seasoning. Deluxe resorts are their dream. Their motto? “Hakuna Matata… pass me a Dole Whip.”

Mixed in were the multi‑generational families, grandparents, parents, teens, littles, all with different needs. Their “best” is flexibility, convenience, and places to regroup. Very “Ohana means family… and family means we need a break sometimes.”

And of course, the families with littles. Tiny humans require a totally different Disney strategy: shorter park days, midday naps, character meals, stroller‑friendly routes, and staying close to Magic Kingdom. As Elsa wisely said, sometimes you just have to “Let it go.”

Scrolling through all those comments, it was so clear: Everyone has different preferences. Resorts, dining, park pace, transportation, entertainment, budget, energy levels, family dynamics and all of these matter differently to each group.

So, when the internet shouts “THIS is the BEST,” take it with a Mickey‑shaped grain of salt.

Because the truth is simple: The best Disney vacation is the one that fits YOU. Your family. Your style. Your priorities. Your magic.

And that’s exactly where I come in.

I don’t plan THE best Disney trip. I plan YOUR best Disney trip.

I take the time to learn your family’s vibe, your must‑haves, your deal‑breakers, your pace, your budget, your travel style; all the things the internet doesn’t know about you.

That’s how we create a vacation that feels effortless, joyful, and perfectly tailored to your family. As Walt himself said, “All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” And when it comes to planning your Disney vacation, that courage looks a lot like choosing the experience that feels right for your family — not the loudest voice in a comment thread. I’m here to help you follow that path, guiding you toward the version of Disney magic that truly fits you. Because at the end of the day, the real magic happens when your trip feels like it was made just for you.
